LinkedIn Personal Branding Case Studies

Our LinkedIn personal branding case studies follow one format: where the client started, what we changed about their positioning, voice and cadence, and what moved as a result, with the baseline and the time period beside every number. Reach metrics are reported separately from pipeline metrics, because they are not the same claim and conflating them is how this industry loses credibility.

What our LinkedIn personal branding case studies contain

Every write-up answers the same six questions in the same order, so you can compare two of them against each other rather than reading two pieces of marketing.

1. Where they started. Framed as one of the three failures we diagnose: no strategy, a voice that didn’t sound like them, or no time. Usually all three, with one dominant.

2. What we decided. The positioning claim, the topics they chose to own, and the topics they deliberately left alone.

3. What we built. Profile rewrite, pillar post, content pillars, publishing cadence, engagement layer, and which of our LinkedIn services were running.

4. How long it took. Month by month, including the months where nothing visible happened.

5. What changed. Reach, resonance, reputation and pipeline, each with its baseline, its period and its source.

6. What the client says. In their words, named, with written permission.

How we measure, and what we won’t claim

Four rules, and they cost us some impressive-looking numbers.

  • Every figure carries a baseline, a date range and a source. The source is either LinkedIn analytics or the client’s own CRM, and we say which.
  • Reach is never presented as pipeline. Impressions and follower growth tell you the content is being seen. They do not tell you it worked. Both appear, in separate blocks.
  • No revenue or pipeline figure is published without the client’s written approval. If a client can share the reach numbers but not the deal numbers, the study says exactly that instead of implying the rest.
  • Flat periods are reported as flat. If a quarter didn’t move, the case study says so and explains what we changed next.

We also don’t use placeholder logos, stock portraits, or screenshots we can’t trace to an account. Anonymised studies are allowed where a client can’t be named, and they’re labelled as anonymised rather than quietly vague.

Until named studies are published, here’s what to ask us for

Written client approval takes longer than writing a case study, and we’d rather show labelled samples than furnish this page with client numbers nobody has agreed to. Three things we’ll show you on a call instead, all real and all from live accounts:

  • A real voice guide. The working document a writer uses: verbatim lines, sentence shapes, the client’s banned words, their hard boundaries.
  • A real approval queue. The drafts, the scheduled dates, the client’s in-line edits.
  • A real monthly report. Including a month that went flat, and what we changed after it.

Ask the same of anyone else you’re considering. An agency that can’t show you the working documents is selling you the output of a process it hasn’t built.

Where to go next

Thirty minutes, and a straight answer

We read your profile and your last 90 days of posts before we speak. You’ll leave with the three things we’d change first, whether or not you hire us.

  1. We read your profile first.

    No homework for you.

  2. You do most of the talking.

What you sell, who decides, what you’ve already tried.

  3. You leave with a plan, or a straight no.
