Free LinkedIn Profile Audit for Founders and Executives
Run a free LinkedIn profile audit on your own profile and get a score in under 60 seconds, plus the fixes ranked by what actually changes a buyer’s mind. No call, no pitch, no login to anything of ours. It needs the free PostPal Chrome extension, because the audit reads the profile page you’re looking at.

Area scores, out of 10
- Headline4
- About section5
- Banner and photo7
- Featured section3
- Experience and credibility8
- Skills and discoverability6
- Recent activity5
- Contactability6
Fix these first
- Rewrite the headline to say what you do and for whom, not your job title.
- Pin one proof post or case study to the Featured section.
- Open the About section with the problem you solve, in the first two lines.
How it works
Three steps. The longest part is the extension install, and that’s a one-off.
Step 1
Install the free PostPal Chrome extension
The audit reads the profile page in your browser, so it needs a browser extension to see it.
Step 2
Open your own LinkedIn profile
In the same browser, and run the audit.
Step 3
Read the result
An overall score, a score per section, and the fixes in priority order. Takes about a minute.
What the free LinkedIn profile audit checks
Eight areas, scored, with the specific weakness named rather than a generic grade.
1. Headline. Whether it says what you do for whom, or just your job title and company. Whether it contains a claim a stranger could repeat.
2. About section. Whether the first two lines survive the truncation point, whether it’s written in first person, and whether it makes an argument or lists responsibilities.
3. Banner and photo. Whether the banner says anything at all, and whether the photo reads as a person a buyer would meet.
4. Featured section. Whether it exists, and whether what’s pinned is your best proof or the most recent thing you posted.
5. Experience and credibility. Whether the current role explains the company in a line, and whether past roles are doing any work for you or just filling space.
6. Skills, services and discoverability. The fields that affect whether you appear when someone searches for what you do.
7. Recent activity. Whether there is any, how recent, and whether a visitor landing on it would understand what you’re known for.
8. Contactability. Whether someone who wants to reach you can, in one step.
What it won’t tell you, and why we’re saying so
A tool reads a page. It can’t do the part of this job that matters most.
It can’t tell you whether your positioning is right. It can see that your headline makes a claim. It can’t judge whether that’s the claim you should be making in your market, or whether a competitor already owns it. That decision is what LinkedIn personal branding is for.
It can’t read your results. It sees that you’ve posted. It doesn’t see who read it, whether they were buyers, or whether anyone replied.
It can’t hear your voice. A profile can score well and still sound like nine other people in your sector.
It isn’t a benchmark against your competitors. The score is against our own standard for a founder’s profile, not a percentile.
A good score means nothing is obviously broken. It doesn’t mean your profile is working.
Two things called an audit
Worth separating, because both are free and they do different jobs.
| The free profile audit (this page) | The free audit call | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A browser tool that scores your profile | A 30-minute conversation with Zubair or Noman |
| How long | About 60 seconds | 30 minutes |
| What you get | A score, eight area scores, ranked fixes | Our read on your positioning, your last 90 days of posts, and the three things we’d change first |
| Who it suits | You want to fix it yourself, today | You want an outside read, and possibly a quote |
| Cost | Free, no email required to start | Free, no pitch deck |
If we’re not a fit, we’ll say so on the call.
Who this is for
Useful if
- You’re a founder, CEO or senior executive and your buyers look you up before they reply
- Your profile hasn’t been touched since you changed roles
- You’re about to start posting and want the landing page fixed first
- You want to see what an agency would flag, without talking to one
Not useful if
- You’re job hunting. A recruiter reads a profile for the opposite reasons a buyer does, and this scores it as a buyer’s landing page. A CV specialist will serve you better.
- You want the profile rewritten rather than diagnosed. That’s profile optimization for founders.
- You don’t use a Chromium-based browser, at least for the minute this takes.
Privacy and what happens to your data
The full detail lives in our privacy policy. We never ask for your LinkedIn password, and nothing we build ever needs it.
When you want it done properly
The audit tells you what’s wrong. Three ways to fix it:
Executive LinkedIn profile optimization →
We rewrite the headline, About, Featured and banner around your positioning. Included in every package.
LinkedIn personal branding agency →
The decision underneath the rewrite: what you should be known for.
Free, by email, if you’d rather do it yourself with a plan.
Free LinkedIn profile audit: FAQs
Yes. No card, no trial, no call required.
Because the audit reads the profile page you have open. LinkedIn doesn’t provide a public way for a website to read a profile on your behalf, so a browser extension is the honest route. Any tool that offers to audit a profile from a URL alone is either scraping or guessing.
No. We never ask for it, and no part of this tool or our service requires it. If anyone asks you for LinkedIn credentials, that’s the moment to walk away.
The full detail is in our privacy policy.
It’s accurate about what’s present and absent on the page, and deliberately opinionated about what a founder’s profile should do. It is not a LinkedIn ranking, and LinkedIn doesn’t publish one. Treat it as a checklist with a number on top, not a verdict.
Then your profile isn’t the bottleneck, and the next question is whether anyone is reading what you publish. That’s where LinkedIn ghostwriting and engagement management come in. Or book the call and we’ll tell you honestly if you don’t need us yet.
It’s a list. You can work through it yourself in an afternoon, and the free 10-day email course covers the first three days of exactly that. If you’d rather hand it over, the profile optimization page explains what we’d do.
Still have a question? Email us, or book your free audit call.
Thirty minutes, and a straight answer
If the score raised more questions than it answered, the call is the faster route. We read your profile and your last 90 days of posts before we speak.
We read your profile first.
No homework for you.
You do most of the talking.
What you sell, who decides, what you’ve already tried.
You leave with a plan, or a straight no.
