Terms of Service
Last updated .
These ThoughtLeaders terms of service govern two things: your use of thoughtleaders.ae, including the free Profile Auditor and the email course, and the paid LinkedIn services we deliver under our packages. By using the site you accept the website terms. By signing an order form or paying an invoice, you accept the service terms as well.
We’ve written each clause with a one-line summary above it. The summary is there to be readable. The clause is the one that counts.
1. Who you're contracting with
Summary: ThoughtLeaders, the agency at thoughtleaders.ae, and where to send notices.
- Based in: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Notices: hello@thoughtleaders.ae
In these terms, “we”, “us” and “ThoughtLeaders” mean ThoughtLeaders, the LinkedIn thought leadership agency at thoughtleaders.ae. “You” means the person or company using the site or buying the services.
2. How these ThoughtLeaders terms of service fit with your agreement
Summary: if you've signed something with us, that document wins where it disagrees with this page.
If you have signed an order form or client agreement with us, that document prevails over this page wherever the two conflict. Everything it doesn’t cover is governed by these terms.
3. What we provide
Summary: done-for-you LinkedIn thought leadership, in the scope of the package you bought.
We provide the services described on this site: positioning, profile work, ghostwriting, engagement, newsletters, lead generation, advertising, corporate programs and book work. What you receive in a given month is what your package lists on the pricing page or in your order form, whichever applies to you.
We may improve how we deliver a service, change tooling or substitute a team member, as long as the deliverables in your package don’t reduce.
4. What we need from you
Summary: about 30 minutes a week, your approvals, and accurate information.
The service depends on your input, and we can’t deliver without it. You agree to:
- give us roughly 30 minutes a week for the interview call or voice note, and to reschedule rather than skip
- review and approve drafts within a reasonable window, so publishing stays on schedule
- give us accurate information, and tell us when a claim we’ve drafted can’t be made
- hold the rights to any material you give us to use
- give us the access we need to publish on your behalf
You keep control of your account. We draft and schedule through an approved tool, or send drafts for you to post; we never need your password.
If input or approvals stop, we’ll keep the account’s strategy and engagement running where we can, but the content schedule will slip, and fees still fall due.
5. Approvals, revisions and content you reject
Summary: nothing publishes without your yes, and you can send a draft back.
Every post, comment template and lead magnet is sent to you for approval before it goes live. You can reject a draft and tell us why; the voice guide is updated and the next draft reflects it.
Two rounds of revisions on every post. You approve everything before it goes live. If a month's direction is wrong, we stop, re-run the positioning conversation, and redraft at no extra cost.
6. Fees, invoicing and tax
Summary: monthly fees, invoiced in advance, in USD or AED.
Published prices are in USD per month per person, as set out on the pricing page.
- Billing. Monthly, in advance. Payment is due within 7 days of invoice.
- Currency and method. USD or AED, by bank transfer or card.
- VAT. Prices exclude VAT. UAE VAT at 5% is added for UAE-based clients; clients outside the UAE are generally not charged UAE VAT.
- Refunds. Fees for a month that has started aren't refundable. You keep everything written and approved up to that point.
Advertising media spend, where you buy it, is separate from our management fee. Ad spend is billed to your own LinkedIn ad account.
7. Term, changes and ending the engagement
Summary: how long you're committed for, and how either side stops.
- Minimum term and notice. 3-month minimum, then month to month with 30 days' notice.
- Switching packages. Move up a tier at any time, effective from your next cycle. Move down after the minimum term.
- Pausing. Pause for up to one month a year, with 14 days' notice. The minimum term extends by the pause.
Either side may end the engagement for material breach that isn’t fixed within a reasonable period after written notice. We may suspend work for non-payment after notice.
On termination, we stop publishing, hand over what you own, and remove our access to your account.
8. Who owns what
Summary: you own the content we write for you. We own our methods and templates.
You own everything we write for you once it's paid for.
Our frameworks, internal templates, processes and tooling remain ours. Your name, marks and the content published on your profile remain yours.
9. Showing your work in ours
Summary: we only publish your name, posts or numbers if you've said we can, in writing.
We may show approved work in our portfolio only with your written permission.
Where permission isn’t given, we describe the work anonymously or not at all. We don’t publish a metric you haven’t cleared.
10. Confidentiality
Summary: what you tell us stays with the people who need it.
Each side keeps the other’s confidential information confidential, uses it only for the engagement, and limits access to the team and advisers who need it. This survives the end of the engagement.
11. LinkedIn is a third party
Summary: we work on a platform we don't control.
LinkedIn sets its own terms, changes its product and moderates its platform without consulting either of us. You remain the account holder and remain bound by LinkedIn’s user agreement. We won’t use automation that breaches LinkedIn’s terms, buy engagement, or use engagement pods. We aren’t responsible for platform changes, reach fluctuations, or any action LinkedIn takes against an account where that action doesn’t arise from our breach of these terms.
12. No guarantee of results
Summary: we commit to the work, not to a number.
Thought leadership compounds over months, and outcomes depend on your market, your offer and your participation. We’ll give you honest expectations, report real numbers with their periods and sources, and tell you when something isn’t working.
We don't guarantee follower counts or leads: nobody honest can. We guarantee the work: agreed volume, on schedule, in your voice, approved by you.
13. Using this website and the free tools
Summary: the site and the free tools are provided as they are.
You may read, link to and quote this site with attribution. You may not scrape it at scale, republish substantial parts of it as your own, or use it to train a model without our written permission.
The Profile Auditor and the email course are free, offered without warranty, and may change or be withdrawn. Their output is guidance, not a professional assessment of your business.
14. Third-party links
Summary: we link out, but we don't vouch for what's on the other end.
Where we link to another site or tool, we don’t control it and aren’t responsible for its content, terms or privacy practices.
15. Liability
Summary: our liability is capped, and some losses are excluded.
Neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue or lost opportunity. Our total liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t lawfully be limited, including for fraud or death and personal injury caused by negligence.
16. Indemnity
Summary: you cover us for claims arising from material you gave us.
You indemnify us against third-party claims arising from content, claims, data or marks you supplied or approved, where the claim isn’t caused by our breach of these terms.
17. Things outside anyone's control
Summary: neither side is in breach for events it couldn't prevent.
Neither side is liable for delay or failure caused by an event beyond its reasonable control, including platform outages, infrastructure failure, government action or natural disaster. Payment obligations already due are not excused.
18. General
Summary: the housekeeping clauses.
- Assignment. Neither side may assign the agreement without the other’s written consent, except to a successor of its business.
- Subcontractors. We may use writers, editors and specialists, and we remain responsible for their work.
- No partnership. Nothing here creates a partnership, joint venture or employment relationship.
- Severability. If a clause is unenforceable, the rest stands.
- Entire agreement. These terms plus your order form are the whole agreement on their subject.
- Notices. In writing, to the email addresses in the order form or in clause 1.
19. Governing law and disputes
Summary: which law applies and where a dispute is heard.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute is heard by the courts of Dubai.
20. Changes to these terms
Summary: we'll date any change, and tell existing clients before it affects them.
We may update these terms. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. Where a change affects existing clients, we’ll tell them before it takes effect.
